Reading has always been my hobby, writing has now become my life. I took a chance on a passion that I didn't even know I had, and it has been the best experience so far. I have met some amazing people in the writing industry and really pushed myself to become more than I ever thought I would be.

I want to give my readers the chance to fall away from the real world and become engulfed in the lives of my characters. It is important to me that my readers feel like they are living within the book, and they can relate to the story and what is taking place. I want them to feel like they are connected to my characters.

Raw emotion is what I try to invoke when I am writing, and it means so much to me when I receive feedback that someone was able to feel the emotion that I put into my stories. I don't just write to have something to do. I write because it is who I am.

"I created this story to help give a glimpse of the resilience of a black woman. The importance of this book was to show black love, and the way it can conquer even the toughest of situations. Bringing awareness to the less fortunate, and the way that black women will make something out of nothing was crucial for me.

The journey of my characters in this story means everything, and the connection that they built proved that their love was shatterproof. Even with obstacles that could have been theirdownfall, the way that they lifted one another up was awe-inspiring.

Writing Rambo brought forth a new level of creativity within me, and has encouraged me to push further, take more risks, and to always appreciate black excellence in all its power and distinction."
