About Us
Our Story
Girlfriends Unfiltered Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing literature, mental health awareness, and community care together. We promote literacy through books, author interviews, storytelling, and education, creating welcoming spaces where women and youth can connect and underrepresented authors can be seen and heard.
We weave mental, physical, and financial well-being into our conversations and programming. We blog about books, interview authors, provide literary resources, and promote and sponsor events. Through arts, community gatherings, and our Dignity & Wellness Community Project, we support dignity and strengthen community connections. Most importantly, we celebrate women, wellness, and the power of words.
The Goal
Our goal is for our stories to be seen, heard, and read, unfiltered. We believe in moving beyond assigned narratives so the stories of our families, friends, and communities can be shared in their own voices.
Through literature, storytelling, education, and community care, we support empowerment, mental, physical, and financial well-being, and stronger community connections. We embrace love, good health, spirituality, positive communication, and nation building while remaining rooted in authenticity, dignity, and sisterhood.
